I’m thrilled to introduce you to Carolin Hauser an inspiring Humanistic Psychotherapist and Naturopathic Doctor. Carolin’s mission is to help women heal from early sexual trauma by:
- Healing old wounds, enabling you to get out of the same reoccurring and painful relationship patterns and creating a safe, loving relationship, both with yourself and your lover
- Letting down your guard and letting your beloved in
- Learning how to live and love fearlessly
In this interview, I trust that you will be inspired by Carolin as her enthusiasm and commitment to both personally living an inspired life and supporting others shines through.
Susyn: What does living and inspired life mean to you?
Carolin: To me, it means that one is able to listen to one’s own intuition and act upon it. I know from experience that this is easier said than done.
Being able to hear the “voice” of your own intuition, and distinguish it from all the other voices that are talking in your head, requires you to be present. So, in other words, for me, leading an inspired life means that I am able to live in the present moment.
Susyn: In your daily life, how do you nourish your inspired life?
Carolin: Whenever I remember, I connect with my breath. My breath is what anchors me in the present moment. I do my best to feel and sense my body. I give full attention to whatever is in front of me, whether it be the dishes, a client or my child. I make every effort to pay attention, and whenever I feel an inspired thought (meaning the voice of my intuition is telling me something) I act on it.
I also focus on recognizing those times when I am all in my head, listening to all the other voices. Those are usually the moments I don’t feel very connected, the times I feel stressed. So I’ll place my attention on my breath, and then I can re-enter my feeling realm and journey from out of my head into my heart.
For me, my intuition mostly speaks through my heart.
Susyn: What is your biggest challenge in living an inspired life and how do you approach this challenge?
Carolin: The biggest challenge is all the things that annoy me! In other words, for me, at least at first glance, what’s most challenging in staying present are all the things that come up in everyday life, all the people that “get in my face.” All the things that “trigger” me and “make” me upset.
I say at first glance because I know that, at second glance, all these things are just mirrors. They just mirror my own un-integrated stuff.
So recognizing that it’s not “them” (my kids, my mother, my husband) and being able to just stop and not react, that’s the greatest challenge. Just learning to be with whatever feeling is present with me.
Susyn: Who/What has influenced you in living your inspired life?
Carolin: Many, many teachers.
Starting with Gandhi and all the Saints I first heard about in school, to people I have known in recent years, like my husband and my children. My husband and my children are the real reason for wanting to be the best I can be.
Also, in the past few years, one teacher in particular who has helped me integrate my own stuff is Michael Brown, who works a lot with breath.
Susyn: What are you working on now?
Carolin: In my personal life, I am always working on being more loving, being “lighter” and being an inspiration to others.
Professionally, I am very excited because, after a six-month “baby break”, I am now coming out with my brand new program: “Blossom – A 7-Step Journey: Heal Early Sexual Trauma and Create A Trust-filled and Deeply Connected Relationship with Your Man”. This is a 7-week Tele-class in which I share all my “secrets” to integrating trauma and creating a fulfilling, intimate relationship with a man.
In fact, I am hosting a free call: “Healing Early Sexual Trauma: 3 Simple Secrets to Shame-free and Open Hearted Loving” on September 1st 2011. On the free call I’ll be sharing lots of valuable, practical information with our listeners and giving details on the upcoming 7-week Tele-class.
Susyn: What words of wisdom do you have for someone who desires to live their inspired life vision?
Carolin: Integrate your old stuff, live fully in your body and feel life through it, so you can be present, connected and able to hear the voice of your own intuition. Ultimately, your intuition is the voice of inspiration talking to you.
Best of all, your intuition is always there. You simply have to hear it.
